Station 11 is a sci-fi miniseries on HBO Max, adapted from the eponymous novel published in 2014 (!) about a pandemic flu (!!) that wipes out almost the entire global population. But unlike other dystopian sagas, Station 11 expertly manages to toe the line between compassionate storytelling and surprising twists.
